The SUU History Club invites anyone with a desire to learn more about
their Southern Utah backyard, to a historical field trip, Saturday
November 8th.  This adventure into our past will be led by Al
Matheson (a local historian) and will cover five unique sites.  We will
visit important locations associated with the early native populations,
Spanish Explorers, and Pioneer Settlers.  We will be meeting at the
SUU public parking lot (NW corner of 200 S and 800 W [by the
soccer field]) at 8:20AM and departing at 8:30AM.  We can
coordinate and assemble carpools in the parking lot (don’t let the lack
of wheels discourage you).  The trip will come to a conclusion at 12:30
at the Mountain Meadow Massacre site.

There are no formal plans for lunch but attendees are encouraged to
bring a snack and water.  Anything but high heels will do for foot
cover.  There won't be any fees.

Hope to see you there.
